Assisted Stretching in Tupelo and Pontotoc
One-on-one assisted stretching from a licensed occupational therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. We measure your range of motion, stretch what needs it, and retest so you see the change.

How PPG stretching is different
Measured before and after
Test
We measure range of motion and strength first.
Stretch
Hands-on techniques, including PNF, chosen for what we found.
Retest
Same test, right away, so you see the change.
Keep it
Strength work in the new range so the gains last.
What we stretch
- Hamstrings
- Hips and glutes
- Hip flexors
- Lats and shoulders
- Upper back
Who it's for
- Golfers who want more rotation
- Lifters who want better squat and overhead positions
- Athletes who want more mobility for their sport
- Active adults who feel stiff and want to move more easily
- Anyone who has stretched on their own without lasting change
Muscle scraping (IASTM) & cupping
| Technique | What it is | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Assisted stretching | Provider-guided stretching, including PNF techniques | To gain range where testing shows a restriction |
| Muscle scraping (IASTM) | Instrument-assisted soft tissue work with HawkGrips tools | To address soft tissue findings before movement and strength work |
| Cupping | Suction cups applied over muscle and soft tissue | Alongside movement work when it fits your plan |
| Compression recovery | Compression therapy for recovery | As a $30 add-on at any visit |
HawkGrips Level 1 and 2 certified. Every technique is a tool, not the whole plan.

Yes. New clients start with the Free 15-Min Movement Check or a Performance Reset. Current clients can book a 30- or 45-minute session focused on stretching.
How is this different from a massage?
Massage is great for relaxation and general recovery, and we gladly refer clients to a trusted local massage therapist for it. At PPG, hands-on work serves a specific, measured goal: we test, treat, retest, and then build strength so the change holds.
Who does the stretching?
Alex Pannell, an occupational therapist, Certified Hand Therapist, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
